Air Partner have been offering trusted aviation solutions for 60 years and we are going from strength to Strength. We are looking for a Finance Controller to join our Houston, Texas office. Reporting to the VP Finance US, with a dotted line to the Services Finance Director, this role is responsible for financial controls for all Air Partner US entities (Charter & Kenyon). You will be part of a team of 6 people based in the US, with 3 direct reports.
You will:
· Ensure a high quality month end close, hitting deadlines and explaining key variances to relevant stakeholders
· Work with the VP Finance US and the Wheels Up tax team to ensure US tax compliance is maintained across all US entities
· Perform all required accounting for any ‘incidents’ in Kenyon. During an incident, tasks are to be redeployed in the team to ensure business continuity
· Ensure the US business is SOX compliant and complies fully with the Group Operating Rules and other Group policies
· Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis as agreed with the VP Finance
· Monitor debtor's ledger flagging any collectability issues
· Support the US team process day to day transactions (sales invoices, purchases, expenses etc). On occasion this will require direct involvement depending on workloads across the team, particularly Kenyon
· Support the completion of the annual budgets and forecast updates through interaction with local management.
· Proactively perform commercial analysis of income and margins
· Participate in finance improvement projects as required
· Work to drive efficiencies and much improved ways of working including commission calculations
· Support the implementation of an upgraded finance system in due course
· Ad hoc projects as required
What we are looking for:

· including current accounting standards

· Have a pragmatic and commercial approach
· Have an ability to “dig deep” and lead by example
